Lately, I’ve really been trying to realize what’s important and what’s not. What’s worth holding onto and what’s not. It’s about time for me to really try and let go of what’s only going to weigh me down more. Too many “what ifs” and “could’ve beens” won’t get you anywhere. It just creates an endless cycle of thinking and more thinking before it becomes overthinking. It’s too exhausting.
I really need to remind myself of this more and learn to let go of the little things, but especially lately, I’ve truly understood how important it is to appreciate what’s right in front of you: loving family and friends, health, an education, a job — so many good things that the little things I worry about mean nothing at all.
Something else I should remind myself of more: half the things I worry about are things that I can’t control anyways. So just don’t worry about it. Worry about the things you can control and change and focus on all the positive aspects of life.
